Special Theory of Relativity

Intuition, oddly enough, can guide us towards conclusions that are counter-intuitive. For instance, Einstein used intuitive thought experiments while building a case for the special theory of relativity, which has many mind-boggling implications such as time dilation, length contraction, and the E=mc^2 formula.
